Healthy Tips for RTU Students
Little habits can make a big difference. Here are simple, practical tips to help you stay healthy while managing your busy school life.
Tip 1
Stay Hydrated
Aim for at least 6–8 glasses of water a day. Bring a refillable bottle so you can stay hydrated during classes and breaks.
Tip 2
Prioritize Sleep
Try to get 7–9 hours of sleep. Rest helps your brain focus better, boosts memory, and keeps your mood stable.
Tip 3
Choose Balanced Meals
Don’t skip meals. Include rice or bread, protein (like fish, chicken, or beans), and vegetables or fruits in your daily diet.
Tip 4
Move Your Body
Take short walks, stretch between study sessions, or do light exercises. Even 10–15 minutes of movement helps.
Tip 5
Take Care of Your Mind
Pause, breathe, and take breaks. Talk to friends, counselors, or the HSU if you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed.
Tip 6
Practice Good Hygiene
Wash your hands regularly, wear your mask when needed, and keep your surroundings clean to prevent sickness.
Tip 7
Limit Screen Time
Give your eyes and mind a break from gadgets. Set boundaries for social media and online games.
Tip 8
Avoid Smoking
Protect your lungs and overall health by staying away from cigarettes and any form of smoking.
Tip 9
Regular Medical Check-ups
Stay on top of your health with routine check-ups. Early detection helps prevent serious health issues and keeps you performing your best.
